Commissioned by NSW Treasury to provide economic evidence on the scale of NSW’s night time economy, benchmarked against the UK, US and Japan. Our analysis found NSW’s NTE represented 6.9% of Gross State Product.
Working with Visa’s Chief Economist, we co-developed Australia’s first national index of after-dark economic activity, ranking 88 metropolitan, regional and suburban areas across four dimensions of NTE vitality.
The longest-running NTE research programme in Australia – and the world. Ingenium developed the original methodology in 2012 and has delivered every annual iteration since, covering 88 LGAs across all states and territories.
